Ghana drops by a position in the latest FIFA world rankings
The Ghana Black Stars has moved down the ladder in the global table rankings announced by FIFA for the month of June. The June table released sees the Black Stars dropping from the 49th to 50th position although there was no change in the total accumulated points.
This single drop is a major blow to the National Stars of Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ. The Black Stars are currently preparing for the for the African Cup of Nations which starts next week. They suffered a 1-0 loss to Namibia ๐ณ๐ฆ in a preparation game on Sunday. This was after a fixture against South Africa on Saturday. They are scheduled to play Cameroon ๐จ๐ฒ, Benin ๐ง๐ฏ, and Guinea Bissau.
Ghana has however been ranked sixth on the continental level. There was no change in the rankings of the top four with Belgium ๐ง๐ช, France ๐ซ๐ท, Brazil ๐ง๐ท, and. England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ. These four maintained their positions from first to fourth respectively.
The next edition of the ranking will be released on July 25.
