Major Mahama graduates from University of Leicester, United Kingdom


Murdered Ghanaian military officer, Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, has posthumously graduated from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. The late Maj. Mahama enrolled in 2015 as a distance-learning student in the Department of Criminology to read for a Master of Science (MSc.) in Security and Risk Management degree. He was due to graduate this summer before some residents of Denkyira Obuasi  murdered him on May 29, 2017 in the Central Region where he was on a national assignment.
His mother, Veronica Bamford,received the posthumous award at the university’s graduation, attracting a resounding applause and standing ovation from the auditorium.
