Accra-based Starr FM is announcing that in court today, July 31, 2024, when the case was called, Legal counselors for the actress who is the offended party, Nii Apatu Plange, expressed, “There has been some development.”
“We were supposed to start the trial today, (Wednesday, July 31). Unfortunately, some development has come up, and I pray that my client and I approach the bench,” Counsel submitted.
After they approached the seat, Justice Forson Agyapong Baah, the presiding judge, acknowledged before adjourning the case that the Offended party and her attorneys had agreed to settle the matter.
In the meantime, the case has been adjourned to August 15, 2024, during the legal vacation, to finalize the settlement and have the agreed terms adopted by the court as a consent judgment.
It will be recalled that Lilwin in a video that went viral on social media used a few unprintable words on the individual of Martha Ankomah questioning her prominence in the movie industry, among others.
Martha Ankomah filed a suit claiming five million cedis for hurting her image and that of GTP; a brand she represents.
