Woman falls off a rooftop deck balcony while "laughing very hard" and dies

A 50-year-old Pennsylvania teacher, on holiday with her daughter, died from injuries she sustained when she accidentally fell off a rooftop balcony while laughing so hard.
Sharon Regoli Ciferno, 50, a sixth-grade social studies teacher in the Burrell School District in western Pennsylvania, was on holiday with her daughter and two other people in California. They then decided to cross the southern border and spend a few days in Mexico. On August 4, while in Mexico, sitting on a rooftop deck at a friend's house, Sharon accidentally fell and sustained injuries to her body and brain.

President Buhari's health has improved tremendously

Death Toll in Sierra Leone mudslide above 400 UN Says

After recovery efforts continued in Sierra Leone on yesterday (Thursday), more than 300 people were recorded to have died in the deadly mudslides in capital Freetown. However, some 600 people  still remain missing.
The U.N. humanitarian agency put the death toll at 409 after the flooding and mudslides in the West African nation’s capital, Freetown, on Monday morning. People continue to search through tons of mud and debris amid the remains of mangled buildings.

Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo has said his government is in the process of sending relief items to Sierra Leone following a tragic mudslide and flooding disaster that has claimed many lives in the West African country.
Saddened by the development Akufo-Addo took to his Twitter handle to make the announcement and expressed his condolences.

Ghana’s Central Bank revoked the licenses of two banks, UT Bank and Capital Bank, which have collapsed due to shortage of funds.  

The two banks will continue to operate normally after the transfer is complete later today as they have been taken over by Ghana Commercial Bank and the money of clients has been guaranteed to be safe.
The banks in question were opened at about 1:00 pm yesterday for clients to do business.

South African President, Jacob Zuma on Sunday spoke publicly of attempts on his life, saying he was poisoned and almost died because of his stance on socioeconomic transformation and land reform.
In his words, 'I was poisoned and almost died just because South Africa joined Brics (the Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa business communities) under my leadership, they said I was going to destroy the country'.

Kim Jong-Un suspends plans to launch missile attack on US for now

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly dropped plans to launch a missile at Guam- for now. Kim was pictured for the first time in weeks last night, examining plans for a strike on American military targets in Guam.
Pyongyang's state media said Kim "examined the plan for a long time" after his army chiefs handed him a proposal.

Usain Bolt suffers injury in the final race of his career

 
Usain Bolt's career as an athlete ended in disappointment on Saturday, August 12, 2017 as he pulled up with an injury during the 4x100-meters final at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London as the 30-year-old failed to finish the race.

Bolt was already chasing the British and American teams when he started the final leg of the race, and he didn't even come close to the finish line before pulling up with an injury leaving him in tears.
