Death Toll in Sierra Leone mudslide above 400 UN Says


After recovery efforts continued in Sierra Leone on yesterday (Thursday), more than 300 people were recorded to have died in the deadly mudslides in capital Freetown. However, some 600 people  still remain missing.
The U.N. humanitarian agency put the death toll at 409 after the flooding and mudslides in the West African nation’s capital, Freetown, on Monday morning. People continue to search through tons of mud and debris amid the remains of mangled buildings.
