Anthony Joshua has dropped to 7th place in the latest heavyweight boxing rankings

Anthony Joshua has dropped to 7th place in the latest heavyweight boxing rankings by Ring Magazine, following his significant loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on September 21. Joshua, who was previously ranked third, was aiming to solidify his top-tier status but suffered a devastating defeat, being knocked down four times.

As a result, Dubois has climbed to second place, just behind Tyson Fury, who holds the top spot, and the current unified champion, Oleksandr Usyk, who is the Ring Magazine champion. Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang occupy the third and fourth positions, respectively, with Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole ranked fifth and sixth, all ahead of Joshua.

Parker and Zhang have both recently secured victories over Deontay Wilder, enhancing their rankings. Parker is ranked above Zhang after defeating him last December. Kabayel’s win over Frank Sanchez propelled him into the top ten, while Bakole’s victory over American prospect Jared Anderson continued his rise.

Joshua remains in the top ten, just ahead of Dubois’ other recent opponent, Filip Hrgovic. Efe Ajagba and Justis Huni complete the list. Joshua and Dubois are set for a rematch on December 21, with Dubois potentially facing the winner for the undisputed crown, although a rematch with Joshua is also a possibility.
