Gun-wielding PAOK owner confronts referee in chaotic scenes in Greek Super League
Ivan Savvidis, the president of Greek club PAOK on Tuesday apologized after invading the pitch with a gun in his waistband, an incident that prompted the suspension of the championship indefinitely.
“I am very sorry for what happened. I clearly had no right to enter the field of play in this fashion,” Ivan Savvidis said in a statement.
"I'd like to apologize to the fans of PAOK, to all Greek fans and to the international football community," he added. "Believe me, I had no plans to quarrel with the referee or the opponents, and I clearly did not threaten anyone."

Mauritius President rejects cal to resign after credit card scandal

Mauritian President, Ameenah Gurib-Fakim rejected calls for her to resign over accusations of financial misconduct and will provide evidence to debunk these, her office said in a statement yesterday..  

In February, local L’express newspaper said Gurib-Fakim had used a credit card issued by an international non-governmental organization to buy clothes and jewelry in Italy and Dubai.

World-renowned physicist, Stephen Hawking dies at the age of 76.

Stephen Hawking died peacefully at his home in Cambridge in the early hours of Wednesday, his family said.
The British scientist was famed for his work with black holes and relativity and wrote several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.
At the age of 22, Prof Hawking was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neuron disease.

Solomon Nyantakyi to be released due to medical reports

Ghanaian midfielder Solomon Nyantakyi is set to be released from a psychiatric facility following the murder of his mother and sister.

The player is set to be released following reports that he is mentally unstable.

Rihanna has become the first female artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Apple music.  
Rihanna landed the top spot on the streaming giant's list of 20 most streamed women in music. She was closely followed by Taylor Swift (#2), Beyoncé (#3), and Adele (#5).
Rihanna also reacted to the news with an Instagram post of her own, writing, “when I found out that I was the first female artist to cross 2 billion worldwide streams on Apple Music! God is too lit!!!!”

NBA legend and former Los Angeles Lakers center, Shaquille O'Neal turned 46 on Tuesday, and he celebrated his day in a very special way.
The Hall of Famer tied $500 in cash to balloons and released them to the air, with the hope a lucky person gets to find it on his special day.
“Hi, I’m Shaq O’Neal. It’s my birthday and I’m gonna do something special for somebody,” O’Neal said before launching the balloons into the air. “Make sure you hit me back and let me know you got my money. Thanks for all the birthday wishes.
“Five hundred dollars. Somebody’s going to be very happy. Thank you, he said in the clip.
